This one-hour course introduces industry professionals to borehole geophysics, focusing on geophysical logging and its role in developing and refining a conceptual site model (CSM). Through real-world applications, attendees will explore tool capabilities, data interpretation, and how borehole geophysics can improve environmental site remediation and align with current scientific and regulatory standards.

Despite growing use of advanced borehole logging techniques, data are often underutilized, viewed as localized detail rather than inputs for building site-wide geologic frameworks. This presentation highlights the critical role of log correlation in understanding aquifer systems, illustrating methods and quality control approaches using case studies from New Jersey’s Passaic Formation.
